I'm Dr Neil Brener, a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience helping adults navigate some of life's most challenging moments, including addiction, anxiety and depression. I qualified in Medicine from Westminster Medical School in 1984 and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1988 — and have been working in psychiatry ever since.
After holding senior NHS consultant roles, including at Queen Mary's University Hospital, I spent over a decade as Medical Director at The Priory Hospital North London, one of the UK's leading private psychiatric hospitals. I now work in private practice across central and north London, primarily with patients aged 17 and above.
Alongside my clinical work, I regularly support solicitors across the UK with medico-legal matters, and contribute to mental health discussions in the national press.
